Events

1600s Replica Tall Ship Half Moon to Visit East Hartford by way of the Connecticut River
Join Fox 61's Joe Furey and Goodwin College at this historic visit by the tall ship Half Moon. The Half Moon is a replica of a Dutch ship of exploration that Henry Hudson sailed in 1609. The ship operates both as a floating museum and as a platform for an educational "Voyage of Discovery" in which middle-school students and their teachers become crew members and learn about history, mathematics, and natural science. Joe Furey will emcee a ceremony welcoming the ship and students.

The March of Dimes annual Bikers for Babies
Sunday, September 7th join Fox 61 for the March of Dimes charity motorcycle ride. Bikers for Babies 2008 will kick off at our NEW start location at Palmer Field in Middletown and winds approximately 40 miles through the scenic Connecticut River Valley. We end with a BBQ by the shore at the Westbrook Elks.  Vendor sales, live music from Shovelhead, prize drawings and more await the riders.
Registration is at 9:00 a.m.
